Welcome to Thingwall Primary School

It is a great privilege and delight to welcome you to Thingwall Primary School. Thingwall’s life began back in 1964 and has always been a popular choice for local families. Today, Thingwall, a happy, caring school, serves a broad catchment area in a prime location, with excellent facilities.

Thingwall is a proud member of the Oak Trees Multi Academy Trust. We work in close collaboration with the other schools – Brackenwood Junior School, Church Drive, Egremont, Greasby Junior School, Great Meols, Heswall, Poulton Lancelyn, Irby Primary, Black Horse Hill Junior School, Stanton Road Primary School and Hilbre High School– and we are very well supported by the Trust.

We are proud of our local reputation, and we want children who attend Thingwall to have a purposeful and satisfying experience, sense of well-being, a positive self-image and to become independent and enthusiastic learners. We encourage children to take responsibility for themselves, for others and for their environment. We endeavour to support them in developing the necessary life skills which will enable them to become responsible citizens.

At Thingwall there is a high emphasis upon the partnership between home and school and we see parents and carers as pivotal in ensuring success for their child/children in school.

We are immensely proud of our school and welcome visits for you to see for yourselves. If this is something you would like to arrange then please contact the school office using the following e-mail contact: schooloffice@thingwall.wirral.sch.uk
